Dr. Etheredge graduated from The University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2006. In 2009 she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Since graduating, she has worked with complex patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions in an outpatient orthopedic setting. She has completed ongoing intensive hands-on training with a focus on manual therapy, dry needling, kinesiotaping, and myofascial release. She is a Certified Kinesiotape Practitioner and a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist. She has been a member of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Virginia Physical Therapy Association (VPTA) since 2008.
In January of 2013, she joined CCCV as the primary physical therapist to address the orthopedic needs in the under-served neurological community. She uses an evidence-informed, multi-faceted approach including modalities, kinesiotape, neuromodulation treatment, manual therapy, myofascial release, therapeutic exercise, dry needling and postural re-training in order to help her clients achieve their goals of pain management, improved ROM and strength, and a return to functional activities. She strongly believes in teaching her clients how to self-manage their chronic conditions and works closely with Dr. Zasler and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and holistic care.
